Breezaire Bottle Probe Option
The Breezaire Bottle Probe can be used on all models. It allows the cooling unit to control operation based on the liquid temperature inside a bottle instead of the internal air sensor.
Allow the enclosure to stabilize at the desired temperature for several days, approximately 72 hours. Fill a normal size wine bottle with water, insert the bottle probe into the bottle, and place it in the enclosure. Do not connect the bottle probe to the unit until the bottle has had sufficient time to cool to the enclosure temperature.
Connect the bottle probe to the outlet located on the face of the unit. The on and off operation of the unit is then controlled by the temperature of the liquid in the bottle. Unplugging the bottle probe returns the unit to the internal air sensor. The bottle probe cord is 5 feet long.
The Breezaire WKL 6000 is best suited for properly insulated residential wine cellars up to 1,500 cubic feet where a through-the-wall, self-contained cooling unit is preferred. It is a strong choice for collectors who want reliable cellar temperature control without the added complexity of a ducted or split cooling system.
For wine cellars larger than 1,500 cubic feet, choose the Breezaire WKL 8000. Do not size the WKL 6000 for oversized or poorly insulated spaces.
