📚 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Whynter humidors are designed for short- to mid-term storage, not long-term aging. They do not provide the same humidity stability as sealed wooden or commercial-grade humidors.
Do not season a Whynter humidor like a wooden unit. It uses electronic humidity control, and adding moisture directly will damage internal components.
Only choose a size that fits your current collection plus limited growth. Overfilling or underfilling will cause unstable humidity levels and inconsistent cigar condition.
Do not use thermoelectric models in rooms above typical indoor temperatures. They will fail to maintain consistent cooling and humidity in warm or unconditioned spaces.
Choose compressor models for stable performance in variable climates. Thermoelectric units will struggle in warmer environments and are only suitable for climate-controlled rooms.
Do not leave the unit unchecked for long periods. Humidity levels must be monitored regularly, or cigars will dry out or become over-humidified.
