As part of the Breezaire WKL Series Cooling Units, the WKL 3000 includes Breezaire’s Sentry III+ digital control system for temperature monitoring, power outage protection, blocked airflow protection, and optional bottle probe compatibility.

Installation Requirements
Before installation: Make sure the wine cellar is properly insulated and that the room receiving the exhaust air is the same size or larger than the wine cellar.
Designed for through-the-wall installation.
Rear exhaust must vent into an adjacent interior room.
The exhaust room should be equal to or larger than the wine cellar.
The wine cellar must be properly insulated for the unit to maintain rated performance.
The unit requires 115V, 60Hz electrical service.
The unit must remain unobstructed for proper airflow.
The WKL 3000 is not intended for outdoor installation or unconditioned spaces.
Installation Warning: Improper insulation, undersized exhaust space, blocked airflow, or installation in an unsuitable environment can prevent the cooling unit from maintaining target cellar temperature.

Optional Breezaire Bottle Probe
The optional Breezaire Bottle Probe can be used with all Breezaire WKL models. It allows the cooling system to regulate cellar temperature based on the liquid temperature inside a bottle rather than ambient cellar air.
This option is useful when you want the cooling system to control temperature according to the liquid in the bottles.
How the Bottle Probe Works
Allow the enclosure to stabilize at the desired temperature for several days, approximately 72 hours. Using a normal size wine bottle, clean the bottle, fill it with water, insert the bottle probe into the bottle, and place it in the enclosure.
Do not connect the bottle probe to the unit until the bottle has had sufficient time to cool to the enclosure temperature. Once connected to the outlet on the face of the unit, the on and off operation of the unit is controlled by the temperature of the liquid in the bottle.
The temperature displayed is the liquid temperature inside the bottle. Unplugging the bottle probe returns the unit to the internal air sensor and cellar air temperature reading. The bottle probe cord is 5 feet long.

we had our basement redone about 7 years ago. at the time we also had a wine room built. the contractor selected and installed a Breezaire WKL 3000 cooler. it worked perfectly for almost 7 years and then one day it only blew warm air. I called technical assistance at the company, and they told me I had to call a repair service to diagnose the problem. Two hundred dollars later the service tech told me that the unit had leaked all of the refrigerant and the unit would cost more to repair compared to just buying a new one. Not exactly the 20 years that others have gotten out of their unit!
Since the hole the builder put in the wall fits the Breezaire 3000 I'm kind of forced to buy another one just like it. Let's hope I get luckier this time!
I think they call it the 3000 because that's about how much it costs to replace the unit and install it!!

Purchased again for a new wine room
This is my third Breezaire 3000. I had one for 20 years or so and then replaced the machine with the same model after it died. Those two machines have been completely reliable during the 30 or so years that I have used them.
When I needed to set up another wine room, of approximately the same size, I purchased another Breezaire 3000 from Wine Coolers Empire. Mary from WCE provided good advice, a good price, and helpful shipping arrangements. Everything worked exactly as she said. I am completely satisfied with WCE. It took a while to install the machine and we did not manage to install the machine exactly as directed by the instructions. As a result of my concerns about this, I contacted Breezaire support. A knowledgeable person answered my call and provided advice and reassurance regarding the installation. The unit has not been in place long enough for me to be confident of its functioning, though it appears to be working appropriately. My only concern is that the temperature readout is not quite as stable as what I am used to from my previous experiences.
