Optional Bottle Probe for Precision Wine Temperature Monitoring
The Breezaire Bottle Probe can be used with all Breezaire WKL models. When connected, the bottle probe replaces the internal air sensor and allows the cooling unit to control operation based on the temperature of liquid inside a bottle.
To use the bottle probe, allow the cellar to stabilize at the desired temperature for several days, approximately 72 hours. Fill a normal-size wine bottle with water, insert the bottle probe, and place the bottle in the cellar. Do not connect the probe until the bottle has cooled to the cellar temperature.
When the bottle probe is connected, the temperature displayed is the liquid temperature inside the bottle. Unplugging the probe returns the unit to the internal air sensor. The bottle probe cord is 5 feet long.
The Breezaire WKL 2200 is recommended for properly insulated residential wine cellars up to 265 cubic feet where a compact through-the-wall cooling unit is appropriate. If your cellar is larger than 265 cubic feet, has significant glass exposure, or is exposed to high ambient temperatures, choose a larger WKL model instead of undersizing the cooling system.
