📚 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Through-the-wall units must vent into an adjacent room with stable ambient temperatures between 55–85°F. If the exhaust room is too hot or enclosed, the unit will overheat and fail to maintain cellar conditions.
Do not install these units on exterior walls or into unconditioned spaces. They require an interior wall that allows consistent air exchange, or performance will drop and system lifespan will shorten.
These units produce audible noise in both the cellar and the exhaust room. Do not use them in living areas or near bedrooms if low noise is a priority.
Most through-the-wall systems are designed for cellars up to approximately 2,000 cubic feet. If the space is poorly insulated or exceeds capacity, the unit will run continuously and fail to maintain temperature.
Do not use this system for large, luxury, or fully enclosed cellars where noise, heat exhaust, or aesthetics are concerns. Split or ducted systems are required for silent operation and flexible installation.
