The Breezaire WKCE 2200 is built for cabinet-style wine storage where compact size, controlled airflow, and stable cooling performance are important. Because this unit discharges cold air from the bottom, it is especially suited for cabinets and other constrained enclosures where a conventional cellar cooling system may be oversized or impractical.
By design, Breezaire wine cooling systems help create a stable environment for products that are sensitive to changes in temperature and humidity. This makes the WKCE 2200 appropriate for wine storage applications, but not for general refrigeration or food storage.
Performance depends heavily on installation conditions. Improper placement, restricted airflow, insufficient cabinet insulation, or high ambient temperatures can reduce cooling effectiveness. Before installation, verify that the enclosure is properly sealed, the venting side has adequate airflow, and the electrical supply matches the unit requirements.
Humidity Guidance
Wine cabinet cooling units help maintain a stable humidity level that is generally lower than the surrounding ambient humidity. In areas with high ambient humidity, the WKCE 2200 can help lower humidity toward suitable wine storage conditions.
In very dry environments, the desired enclosure humidity may not be achieved without adding moisture. If additional moisture is needed, use slow natural evaporation from a small porous water container.
Do not use a humidifier inside the wine cabinet.

Optional Bottle Probe
The Breezaire Bottle Probe can be used on all models. It is used when you want the cooling system to control temperature based on the liquid inside the bottle rather than only the air temperature inside the wine cabinet.
When the bottle probe is plugged into the unit, it replaces the internal air sensor. The temperature displayed is the temperature of the liquid in the bottle. Unplugging the bottle probe returns the unit to the internal air sensor and cabinet air temperature reading.
Allow the enclosure to stabilize at the desired temperature for approximately 72 hours. Use a normal-size wine bottle, clean it, fill it with water, insert the bottle probe into the bottle, and place it inside the enclosure. Do not connect the bottle probe to the unit until the bottle has cooled to the enclosure temperature. Once connected, the on and off operation of the unit is controlled by the liquid temperature in the bottle. The bottle probe cord is 5 feet long.
The Breezaire WKCE 2200 is best suited for larger custom wine cabinet applications where a compact cabinet cooling system is required instead of a full wine cellar cooling unit. It is a strong choice when replacing a WKC 2200 or OEM 2200, or when the wine cabinet requires cooling support for an enclosure up to 265 cubic feet.
Do not use the WKCE 2200 for walk-in wine rooms, standard refrigeration, or unsealed cabinet spaces. For best results, confirm cabinet dimensions, insulation quality, electrical requirements, and rear exhaust ventilation before installation.
