📚 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Choose 800 CFM only if you cook frequently with high heat, oil, or gas burners. Lower CFM units will fail to remove smoke and grease effectively in these conditions.
Do not install 800 CFM in small or enclosed kitchens without proper makeup air. It can create negative pressure and reduce overall ventilation performance.
Do not oversize ventilation for low-output electric cooktops. An 800 CFM hood adds cost and noise without meaningful performance benefit in low-heat cooking setups.
Use ducted installation for full performance. Ductless setups will not effectively remove heat, grease, or heavy smoke at this airflow level.
Undersized hoods will run constantly and still leave smoke, grease, and odors in your kitchen. This leads to poor air quality and faster wear on the unit.
Check local building codes before installing high-CFM hoods. Systems above certain thresholds often require makeup air to operate safely and efficiently.
