📚 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Use a 1000 CFM range hood only if you cook with high-BTU gas ranges, wok burners, or indoor grills. Lower CFM units will fail to remove smoke and heat effectively.
Do not use a 1000 CFM hood without external ducting. Recirculating setups will not handle the airflow or grease output at this power level.
A 1000 CFM range hood requires a minimum 8–10 inch duct. Undersized ducting will restrict airflow and reduce performance.
Do not install a 1000 CFM hood in small or enclosed kitchens without proper makeup air. Excessive airflow can create negative pressure and ventilation issues.
High CFM hoods produce more noise at maximum speed. Choose models with variable speeds or remote blowers if noise reduction is required.
Do not choose a 1000 CFM hood for low-BTU electric or induction cooking. It adds unnecessary cost and may create airflow imbalance.
