WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mount Ductless Split System Review
NOTE: A qualified HVAC-R technician is required for the installation of your WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mount Split System. Failure to adhere to this requirement will void the warranty.
PLEASE NOTE: We will be phasing out the 9000 and 12000 110V condensers on 10/01/2023 or sooner. We will continue to support controllers through the two-year warranty period. All other replacement part requests will be directed to Copeland.
The WhisperKOOL Ceiling Mount Mini Split System is developed specifically for use in smaller cellars where space is limited. Don’t let a cooling unit limit you!
The WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mount Split System is designed to ensure that the unit does not take up too much space, allowing more room for wine racking. It offers exceptional efficiency by drawing in the warmer air that accumulates at the ceiling, cooling it and dispersing it throughout the environment.
The system is equipped with a 2-speed fan switch that allows you to adjust the air flow according to your needs. It also features a hex mesh grille with an air filter to ensure that the air is clean and fresh. The flare fittings make installation easy, and the system comes with both standard and 24V thermostat options. Additionally, the system includes a pump system to remove excess condensation and a cold weather start kit. WhisperKOOL mini ceiling mount cooling units do not require ducting.
THE NEW MODEL IS 3 INCHES LONGER THAN THE PREVIOUS ONE: WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mount wine cellar cooler is three inches longer than previous WhisperKOOL Mini Split Ceiling Mount generations. This update was made to accommodate the upgraded system.

Features
Features:
OPTIMIZED PERFORMANCE
Centrifugal Blower: WhisperKOOL switched from a Panasonic blower to an AFL blower in order to improve the fan system for robust airflow, even distribution, and quieter operation.
2 Speed Fan Switch: The unit is now equipped with a 2-speed fan switch for more flexibility (medium or high setting) and the option to select the required BTU.
For Your Information: (1) The lower fan speed will remove less moisture from the air than the higher fan speed. (2) The dBA reading is 51.
Hex Mesh Grille Design: The unit will no longer use louvers but instead will have a hex mesh grille, designed to direct air down into the cellar.
ACCESSIBILITY
Flare Fittings:The line set is equipped with flare fittings, which eliminates the need for brazing and significantly reduces installation time.
Electrical: The condensate pump electrical components and the centrifugal fan are easier to access for maintenance purposes.
Centrifugal Blower:Easier access to centrifugal fan for system maintenance.
Debris Intake at Installation: WhisperKOOL Air Filter located behind the hex mesh grille to prevent debris from entering the coils during the initial start-up.
TOUCH DISPLAY The KDT Digital Touch Display can be installed up to 50 ft. away from the unit. The KDT is equipped with Advanced System Protection that has alarms to alert you if certain parameters are not met.
BOTTLE PROBE The unit accurately measures the temperature of wine in the cellar using a liquid temperature measuring probe. Measuring the temperature of a liquid is a more direct and accurate reflection of the temperature of the wines stored in the cellar than measuring the ambient cellar air.
AIR FILTER WhisperKOOL air filter has been added to protect the unit from the intake of potentially harmful debris during the initial start-up or installation of wine racks.

BTU/h
BTU/h
2084 - 3288
The BTU/h value range shown here is an estimate and not a guarantee. There may be instances where a cellar design requires a larger unit due to variables not included in the calculation. These variables can be building materials (such as glass, stone, concrete, etc.) that do not provide enough insulation to maintain the ideal wine cellar environment.
We recommend purchasing a unit with a higher capacity to compensate for these unforeseen variables. Choosing an undersized unit may result in premature failure and may not be able to achieve your desired wine cellar temperature.

📚 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The WhisperKOOL Mini Ceiling Mount is designed to cool wine cellars up to 500 cubic feet. It’s best suited for small to mid-sized cellars with proper insulation and vapor barriers.
A ductless split system separates the evaporator and condenser, allowing the noisier, heat-generating components to be placed outside the cellar. Refrigerant lines connect the two units, providing efficient and quiet cooling with no need for ductwork.
Ceiling-mounted systems like the WhisperKOOL Mini maximize space and preserve aesthetics by keeping equipment out of sight. They’re perfect for modern wine rooms where design and visibility are key considerations.
Yes, installation of the Mini Ceiling Mount system should be done by a licensed HVAC professional. It requires handling refrigerant lines and electrical components that must meet code for warranty compliance and safety.
Because it’s a split system, the noise-producing components are placed outside the cellar, making this one of WhisperKOOL’s quietest units. The interior evaporator operates almost silently, enhancing the cellar’s ambiance.
Unlike self-contained units, split systems like the WhisperKOOL Mini do not require room ventilation for exhaust. The condenser is typically installed outdoors or in a mechanical room with sufficient airflow.
Ductless split systems offer quiet operation, flexible installation, better heat dissipation, and minimal visual intrusion inside the cellar. They’re ideal for premium wine rooms where performance and appearance are equally important.
